Other than the location, the only thing I liked is quite charming design of this tiny hotel and its tiny rooms.
Rooms are tiny, passages and narrow. I am not a very big guy but if I'd be bigger, it would be hardly possible to take a shower
extremely friendly and courteous staff. Very cozy feel. Reminds me of a Bed and Breakfast. Great location. Easy access to Metro, cafes and small shops .
Rue Cler, excellent location
very small room with the wall view
It was somewhat close to the tower, the front desk lady was attractive
The junior suite was a meter difference from a normal room, the carpets were extremely dirty, the bathroom had a broken toilet paper roll. Over all presentation of the bathroom was poor, wires hanging out of lamps and the shower is a crawl space to the left with no light. In the room you can hear when other people flush or take showers, the walls were dirty and the door had scuff marks all over it. Not a fan, will never stay here again, will always advise to friends not to stay here.
Suite for 3 persons is just so cute, mezzanine type. Staff very professional and friendly, all clean, breakfast buffet style, perfect location close to metro and eiffel tower, district full of restaurants and shops.
If I really want to be picky, I did't like the plastic-wrapped cheese slices for the breakfast. In France, I expect cheese to be from local market, not this industrial.
Hotel de la Motte Picquet has a great location very near the Eiffel Tower on Rue Cler, a great market street. Mo and Tina are great at making all arrangements for your stay. Very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. This was our second stay at this hotel and we were again very pleased with the service.
We were just there the first week in May 2011. It was not the hotels fault but there was a lot of street renovations going on that made the entrance into the hotel not as pleasant as usual. I expect this will be resolved in the next few weeks.
The staff at the Hotel de la Motte Picquet is wonderful. i have never encountered a hotel staff so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a bit small, but that is typical of hotels in Paris. The rooms were comfortable and clean and well-appointed. The location was perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and there was easy access to the subway. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by I am planning to stay there again on any return trips I take to Paris.
Nothing! It was wonderful.
The friendly staff...(Tina was awsome!!) and the great side street, Rue Cler, with lots of shopping and resturants. In the street-side room we had for our 3-day visit you could hear just enough traffic noise to know you are on the street but the double-paned glass did a great job of keeping it at a low murmur. Nicely appointed rooms and very clean.
None, however if you are of ample proportions, bring along a shoehorn for the elevator and shower. Rooms are not large but is what you would expect for this area.
Mo was fabulous! His English was extensive and very Welcoming!!! He greeted us and right away offered to help us in any way possible... booking reservations or tours, directions around the city, explinations of things we didnt understand, suggestions of things to do or see (even children geared activities, and what not to do with them) - everything! We had a Quad room, or junior suite - and it was perfect for our family of 4. a queen bed and a twin bed against the wall with a pull out - pop up trundle. a metro stop right out the front door, the eiffel tower a couple of blocks away. the parking is above ground a couple of blocks away. There are hop on hop off bus stops near the eiffel tower, and the siene river cruise has a hop on point near it as well. There are many resturaunts on the block that the hotel is on as well. It was the perfect Location for us... our small children had no problem walking from this hotel to all the things that we wanted to see (or the tour bus).
Breakfast room is very small and therefore cant offer as large a spread as most european breakfasts offer. It seems pricey for what is offered. However we went out for breakfast the next day and found that 2 cups of coffee are nearly the same price as one adult breakfast at the hotel!!! It is Paris, I guess!!!
Access to Rue Cler and Metro
Room was beautiful and very Parisian! Location was perfect and staff were superb!
The staff were so friendly and helpful, when we arrived they let us pick our own room and helped us arrange airport transfers. The location couldnt have been better unless it was under the eiffel tower itself! Our room was small but really beautiful with a extreamly comfortable bed.
The rooms were so beautifully decorated but the corridors leading to the rooms were not to such a high standard.
It was close to my business appointment. The staff was helpful to get one of the rooms I liked from the pictures.
Its very small, as many Paris hotels are. In that sense it could be a bit cheaper.
The hotel has recently renovated and prices have risen but this still remains the most welcoming and enjoyable hotel I have ever found in Paris.
The hotel exceeded all expectations. Desk staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with great advice and assistance including booking tickets to the great attractions in Paris. The location is brilliant and we'll look no further next time we visit Paris.
